CHERYL: Are you ever afraid of all of the places that you randomly go? Like when you went to Thailand or something ALONE, did you freak out? Or are you just really brave?

Hmm. Quirkiest habit. I touch my nose a lot. My dad does too and when I do it and he does it then I cringe.
Paige thinks if its yellow, let it mellow.
Ellie has to have everything really organized. Real Simple is her bible.
Nor is totally paranoid about her nose. She thinks it is big.
Enough secrets for now. What's your quirkiest habit? Or better yet, your sisters?
How is project baby #2?
Not good. But we're still trying. We'll keep you posted. :) Hopefully it will happen soon after the move...who wants to be pregnant & moving? Oh wait...that was me 2 years ago...
Best part about being a newlywed?
Hmmm, there are so many good things about being married to Mitch. But specifically about being a newlywed, when we tell people we were just married, there are no sarcastic comments about being tied down, to the old ball and chain, or anything. Mostly we get awws and ooohs, and lots of free dessert.
When another newlywed couple (friends of ours... you know them actually) came to visit, we went to Claim Jumper for dinner. When they asked why we all looks so happy we told them it was because we all had just been married within the last 3 weeks. One lady was walking by with a huge sundae, and like anyone with ovaries, I said "mmmm that looks good!". She stopped in her tracks and plopped it in the middle of her table, and she obviously had been going somewhere with it! This is at the same time that the manager insisted we each choose a dessert off the menu! We ended up with like $50 with Claim Jumper's dessert!
And the third best part, because I can't pick only one, is living with the thoughts and hopes that our marriage is always like this. Really, it makes me totally happy imagining how we will be in 5, 10, 25, and 50 years, and it would be wonderful if some of those years were like every moment we spend now.
Anne...
How did you make YOUR blog super cute? I love the new look. I am thinking up a secret indulgence for ya!
We're so having a party for you at Christmas.
The best part of living close to you is having you nearby so that you can help me paint the girls room this weekend. I hate cutting in.
Hey Anne, let's see..my favorite thing about being a new mom...Smiles. As soon as I see that baby smile, all those long nights, poopy diapers, hours of her crying, and spit up on every shirt seems worth it. When she smiles my heart melts and I know there is nothing else in the world I'd rather do than be a mom, no matter what comes with it. On another note, I finally started my own blog, here's the address amanda-thepetersonfamily.blogspot.com. You inspired me to do so. Now you can see that smile I'm talking about! Love ya!
I guess you have two blogger Amanda new mama friends! Honestly, I can't choose just one thing I love the most about being a mom, but these are my top three: I absolutely love snuggling with Lizzy in the middle of the night, when the whole world is quiet and it's just me and my little girl. I also love her SMILES!!! (That's her new trick this week.) And I love giving her massages...when we're both nice and warm and relaxed and happy. (An aside: there's a really cool book called Infant Massage that you should check out if you're interested!)
I love your new background! I am totally and completely done with kids, but my husband is even more done than I am. That said, talk to me in 5 years when I have baby envy.
I would honestly have a million if I could if I didn't spend my entire pregnancy on the floor of the bathroom surrounded in urine and vomit, or in the hospital bed. Fun time!
Oh yeah, I need your Christmas dates you are here so I can schedule the party.
Anne, you have mastered the concept of winning friends and influencing people - just ask people to talk about themselves, sit back, and they love you for life!
That said, our boy name is Bo and our girl name was Lane. No Lois jokes please.
I think it has a good rhythm: Jeremy, Jackson, Blake, Bo. But to be honest, I don't know if it will make the final cut.
So somehow I can look at your blog without being linked. Oh well, I guess this is the first time I've really commented. Congrats on your beautiful boy, by the way, I am glad he is doing so good. Oh and I love your blog's face lift. It looks great. (Anna Hanson, Hull)
So I know that this is just a ploy to save you some time while you figure out reformatting your blog page after adding that cute border.
Best memory? Taking you shopping for clothes when I was a nanny for the baseball players, going to your plays, and watching you light up when you performed in your choir stuff. Also, your gift of PATIENCE.
Most Recent Most Embarrising Moment: When I went to the "So you think you can dance" Taping they had a Man who was the "Crowd Warmer", (he got the crowd excited and loud for the show) He asked for people to show off their dance skills. He chose me and brought me up on stage. I danced for the whole crowd and didn't notice I was totally flashing my Gs. I was wearing a skirt and dancing like no body's business- Needless to say everyone saw my religion or they thought they were probably "Spanks"!!! I don't know which is worse. My sisters were dying!!! R.J. was shocked to see his mom let loose, And here I thought I was just a Great Dancer.
Heidi- I resent said comment, because it took me FOREVER to figure out all of those questions. So, while I was up at 2 am with the boy, I was thinking of just the right thing to ask Ellie. Boo.
I would ask Ellie who her dentist is. Does she wait for her checkups for when he's back or does she mouth (sleep)around.
Didn't answer your post huh? I am only the second person to do so! Sorry that you are so popular that you can't filter throught all 16 of your comments! :)
Adjusting to military life:
I LOVE military life. It hasn't been hard to adjust at all. The lingo is the only thing that's been a little difficult to pick up on. (Flying is like a language in itself, I guess.) Other than that, no. It's been perfect for me. Andrew has a 10 year commitment after he gets his wings. (He'll get his wings on March 7--YAY!) After 10 years is up, he can either stay in another 10 years and then retire, or he can get out then and get a civilian job, like with an airline. Personally, I want him to stay in as long as he can, because the benefits are amazing. And, the more we move around, the better.
Ok, I should be getting my next free flight after January. How does President's Day or thereabouts sound?
Anne, I'm sorry I have been a blog slacker lately. I will have a Jason update soon, we went to Danville last weekend so I'm posting pictures soon (I hope). But yes, things are going well and I am in love.
Did I just say that?!
I am really organized. Sickeningly so. Did you see the labeler?
We'll be in Hawaii until Mark gets out, in Oct of next year. Then we'll be headed back to Walnut Creek. Come visit!
OH, and My dentist is TOTALLY FULL SERVICE.
Hey... JUST finished Eclipse. I have a major headache but wanted to let you know that I am finished...and you wanted to ask me some question about it. I have been a little stressed lately with all our house stuff & have been reading to keep my mind off of it all. Anyway, can't wait to hear your insights...I am so lame, I never read between the lines...
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you, but you read about my dramatic week already so I am guessing that you understand my woes better than anyone, right? Do I ever want to give either of my kids away? Not yet. When Krew does crazy things most of the time I think they are funny no matter how annoying they are and the baby is still too little to really annoy me yet! But I do have moments that I just want to run away from my life because I start to feel trapped and clausterphobic. I think that is the breast feeding. It makes me feel totally stuck because of the utter dependance on me for His survival. That is too much for me sometimes.
So sorry, but I just read this post yesterday. So to answer your question. There was a time in Mexico where I was a bit concerned about the chosen route the taxi driver took. Or, in Thailand I thought I was being stalked by a crazy monk while walking through a bazaar. And then there was the time in Vietnam where I woke to the sound of someone trying to get into my guesthouse room. It stopped after a bit and I attributed it to someone getting off the elevator at the wrong floor. At least that is what I say to make myself feel better. But other than that I really don't get too scared to be a citizen of the world.
I didn't see this one...till now. you are so cute.
ANSWER#1 : We want to live in New York or London...but maybe the Bay Area later in life??? does life always work out this way, no. we might be in south dakota for all i know.
ANSWER #2: Yes, I'm kind of insanely obsessed with design. But I know I'll be more obsessed with my children. I think if it's in you...you're stuck and I think I'm stuck. The goal is to have a home decor and design boutique which I design out of.
Where do you guys want to end up??? And when can I come see you and possibly help you decorate (if you still want my services as a baby gift)
