Last night, Hazen and I were at my parents house, when he came up to me, grabbed me by the hand and said, "Come here Mom, I want to show you the toys. Come on!" So, I followed him downstairs to the playroom in my parent's basement. Getting down to the room can be a little bit scary, as it's at the end of a very dark hallway, as we went, turning on the lights, Hazen gripped my hands tighter and tighter, but still being brave saying, "Come on Mom. I'm going to make you dinner." Once we got to the playroom, he told me to sit down, and proceeded to get a plate out of the cabinet and placed it in front of me. I sat back for the next 20 minutes and watched him talk to me about how he was making me dinner, and he just looked so content. It was as if all was well in the world, and that he was so free of worries and concerns, and it made me so happy. I know that I can't be with him as much as I'd like, but times like these make me feel so much better, knowing that he's HAPPY. He was talking a mile a minute, and I know that he was thrilled to have some time alone to be just him and his Mama. We laughed, and every now and again he would walk over to me and give me a hug and say, "I love you THIIIIISSSS much, Mom." I can only imagine how difficult having two parents in school might be, but I feel so grateful that Hazen is such a good boy. He's smart, he's sweet, he's funny, and he loves to snuggle and be my buddy. Of all the kids in the entire planet that I could have been sent, I'm so grateful that Hazen chose to come to our family. He brings Jason and I more joy than could ever be put into words, and I find myself earnestly praying in gratitude for my life's biggest blessing.

I don't know about you, but at the end of Winter, I always start to feel really lurpy. This year, combined with school and the added stress I have in my life, was no exception. I made an appointment with Natalie, and she did me right. Unfortunately because of the stress, my hair IS FALLING OUT, so I had to switch the side of my part. I feel much better now, though, and I'm ready to embrace spring with my cute hair and all!

When the California Hazens were here, Hazen found his new best friend in the entire planet. Rob. Hazen normally takes a little while to warm up, but not with Rob. Immediately he wanted to be around him, and would run to him and continuously say "Hi Rob!" Whenever we weren't with the family, he would ask when we were going to see Rob next, and would run into the house yelling for him. On Saturday night, I walked up from the basement, and saw Haz snuggling with his buddy, Uncle Rob. It was so cute! Too bad we can't live a little bit closer to Uncle Rob, so Hazen can get his fix!

The other night, Jason and I were watching a show that featured some of the most delicious looking Cinnamon rolls I've ever seen. Immediately we decided that it was necessary to go to Kneaders to get some Cinnamon rolls that we could eat! Much to our dismay, they were sold out, which is somewhat to be expected as it was 8:00 pm. We decided to take matters into our own hands, and went to the store to buy the ingredients necessary to do some baking. Now, I'm a great cook, but I don't do a lot of baking, as I hate following directions, so I was a little nervous to take this task on. After about 15 calls to Jason's mom, and at 11:30pm, our Cinnamon rolls were ready! They were delicious, and I probably would have ruined them if Jason wasn't there to help!

Rob had to leave on Sunday of Easter week, but that didn't mean that the rest of us couldn't have fun! We decided to go to lunch at a new Pizza place in Provo that has gotten rants and raves; SLAB Pizzeria. It was good, but I about burned my mouth off on the Spiciness of the Thai Chicken Pizza. I'll have to return sometime, because what I did taste was delicious, and I'd like to try a non-spicy version of their pizza. It was so much fun having everyone there, if not chaotic.
After lunch, we headed over to the new, improved Nickelcade. I must say, for a sum total of $4.25, it provided a very entertaining few hours for Hazen and I. It was Spring break, so there were a million people there, so the amount of pictures I took is slightly less than desired. Hazen was hilarious trying to play some of the driving games. I would hold down the gas, and he would steer, and actually did a pretty decent job of it! Once we were done at the Nickelcade, we redeemed our tickets for candy, and went home for a much deserved nap.

I realize that I haven't posted anything about school in a long time, because, lets face it- school has been more work and a LOT less play. We're almost done with our 4th semester, leaving us with only 4 1/2 months left until graduation! This semester I have 12 hour clinicals in the hospital, which have actually been really fun. I was nervous for them at first, but now I find myself really enjoying each week that I spend in varying parts of the hospital. Except for any and all Women's Services clinicals. I HATE those.
As far as classroom time, Fridays are inordinately long days that we spend in lecture, but I my classmates and I try to have fun with it. There are only 20 people in the Thursday/Friday group, which is really nice because I feel like we've (for the MOST part) become pretty good friends. It's frightening how much you get to know people when you spend most of your life with them. :)
I can't wait to be done. I can't wait to not wear stupid blue scrubs everyday, and I'm thrilled to actually get paid to work. I still have a ton to learn though, so I'm going to do what I can to learn as much as possible!

The last time I saw RJ was just 4 1/2 months ago, at Thanksgiving. At that time, he was getting much taller, and his feet were bigger than mine, but I still had him beat on height by just a little bit. Imagine my surprise when I went to hug him, and saw that he was taller than me! Not by a little, but by quite a few inches! It's so weird that my nephew, who I sat at the door in the hospital when he was born, is bigger than me! He's going to be a giant, and the family bet is now on if he'll be taller than Jason or not. I don't think that Jason would like to give up his title as "Family Giant", but if RJ keeps on growing like he is, it might be a very likely possibility

On Easter, we decided to have a Family egg hunt, which was slightly thwarted by the buckets of snow we got outside! We went down to Heather and Brad's basement, and still had a great time. Max was more interested in having free-reign and being able to climb everything in the basement, and Hazen LOVED accumulating as many things as possible to put in his basket. We had fun hiding the eggs in as high places as possible so RJ
