If I am first, can I leave another guess at the end of the post? Okay. I'm guessing a cool million.
WARNING: Do not join the army to get out of debt.
My guess is NOTHING for you, out of pocket. I think you had insurance. I think that because I sincerely hope that it is true.
Hmmm... inlcuding your stay , csection, his stay, meds... the whole kit and caboodle?
I think maybe $85,000, on the low end, maybe $120,000 on the higher end. Does the state help/pay for premature births? I really hope so... otherwise people better be making donations because your husband is a fireman. You could have a big old pancake breakfast for the community. $50 per pancake. I'd buy one.
Ill let you know how this drugging me out thing works... Should have another update right around Thanksgiving, but with all the family coming in and such, I want to keep it quiet so as not to be interrogated three thousand times over Turkey dinner.
Well, Tino was in NICU for 9 days and it was just shy of $40,000. And that doesn't include the portion from when he was at the hospital in San Ramon. I'd have to side with Celia and say you are at least $975,000 . . . if not already to the million mark.
Is this like the Price is Right and if you go over you are out?
In that case I say $350,000.
NICU= $10,000/day per child x 53 days. $13,000 for a C-section. Give or take $3,500 per hospital transport x 2. My guess is $650,000. Sorry Sarah. Health care is not that cheap!
I'm gonna say $550,000
I love it when people have contests on their blogs!! I guess 675,001. That picture is so cute!
$720,000.
I'm nervous for the results! I hope I win, because a post about me would be so cool because I am so cool.
Well I didn't realize everyone would be so specific... ha ha. So specifically my answer is...
$102,000. I picked right in the middle, ha ha. But from what I know it can be between $1000-1500 per day for a nicu baby, plus the equipment, plus that transfer to the children's hospital.
Of course, I might not know crap. I am so excited to find out, so hurry up and tell us already!
$850,000 Bob. I mean, Anne.
Being a contestant on the price is right has always been a dream. Thank you for this opportunity Anne.
$800,025. I really hope I win. And I'm really happy you are not the one paying for this. Holy crap.
I really hope you're joking Doug. A- If Utah didn't have the ability to deny pregnant woman coverage because pregnancy is a "preexisting condition", even if you had insurance in a different state, Utah, ie Taxpayers wouldn't be paying. B- I'd sure rather have a regular bill and a healthy baby, thanks.
$825,000. Just a guess - I have no idea.
Is it too late to guess? I want to say $700,001 but I have no clue.
Does my last estimation count? You wrote it down right? Hal is soooo cute.
Cost of birth, clean-up, snacks and hospital stay $650,000
Cost of another blog with 20+ comments...Priceless
I'm breaking out in sweat just thinking about it. I'll wait for the results.
a lot. more than a jar of m&m's would cost for a contest like this.
I'm guessing $950,000. and if you want to read a blog about me if I don't win, go here http://nortorious.blogspot.com/2007/10/wwpd-what-would-paige-do.html
I'm not good at guessing...but i'm dying to find out. when is the winner announced?????
$543,000.00 that seema like a good #
Given that Steve just payed almost $4,000 just for a couple of CT Scans, I'm guessing it's VERY high - close to a million. And as a Utah taxpayer, I'm happy to have had a small part in in HAL's care.
anne! i'm soo glad hal is finally home! it's gotta be such a relief! i'm going to guess $675,000. hope you're doing well!!
