Meet HAL. HAL has his first ear infection today. Mommy KNEW something just wasn't right with how restless/crabby/sad he's been, and it was confirmed at our special Dr. appointment in the after-hour clinic that he has an ear infection.

HAL wants to be just like his Uncle Rob, Cousin Abbie and Payton, and have all sorts of ear problems, so he's starting early.

HAL has spent his day screaming at his mama, not eating much, and now sleeping in his special bed on the couch. His mommy is VERY surprised that she was able to get up to answer the phone without him freaking out. HAL is very cute, and as such will be spoiled even more since he's sick. If he was old enough, I'd buy him Jamba juice and cut up his fruit JUST LIKE my mama used to do.

So, don't expect many smiling pictures for the next few days, but know that it's the most amazing thing you might ever see.

I love Hal's outfit in this picture! In one of your next blogs (after my tribute and the 10 blogging commandments, of course) you should do a "Hal Fashion Show". Dress him up in all of his cute little outfits, take thousands of pictures, post them on blog. Done.

Poor Baby Hal! That is probably the worst trait he could inherit from uncle Rob and Payton! Let's just hope he can hear better than them. Ear Tubes hear we come- at least it will stop Payton from saying, "Huh?" Hope he feels better!

Okay, I just have to say that the joy you find in your son is SO SO fun to read about. Hope he feels better soon.

HELL-O don't forget about cousin Tino. You know, the cousin that had high frequency hearing loss, low frequencty hearing loss and was "AT-RISK" according to Phoenix Schools at the age of 1 year 11 months because he couldn't count to 20 yet. Even though Tino is PAINFULLY shy, he hasn't stopped talking since those miraculous tubes were put into his ears at 20 months.

Ok, I totally forgot that he had any hearing/ear problems. In fact, I sat here for a good 5 minutes trying to remember if any of your kids did. Sorry!! Shout out to Tino!

Please give that poor baby some Tylenol or Motrin.
