New Years Eve

This year was a pretty low-key New Years Eve, but it was fun, nonetheless. We started the evening out with the family at my Parent's house, where we had a traditional Fondue dinner. I was glad that we were able to do that, just like when I was little! After the party at my parent's house, it was time to go home and put Hazen down for bed. Afterwards, we went over the Robison's house, where we played games and basically laughed like maniacs. I love those nights when you think you're going to pee your pants because you're laughing so hard! It's hard being as funny as Aubrey and I, but somehow we manage.

Clean Up, Clean Up!

We're trying to teach Hazen about being responsible and helping around the house. Luckily for us, he's at the age where helping out around the house is still fun, so I'm going to utilize that for as long as I can! Hazen loves to dust and Lysol the furniture, and as that's easily one of my least favorite chores around the house, I'm more than happy to let him help out!

Crib Fun

The other day, Hazen was being difficult at naptime. This rarely happens, so while it was frustrating, I couldn't ignore the sounds of him calling for me and singing songs. So, I decided to go and snuggle in bed with my little buddy....in his crib! I was slightly nervous that the crib wouldn't accept the weight of an adult, but it did! Hazen snuggled with me for a long, long time, and we sang every song that we know. The next night, when it was time for bed, I had to laugh as I heard him calling out, "Mommy? Come back. Bed? Sit here, Mommy!" Luckily, he still went to sleep without me. I sure love my little buddy!

Christmas Dinner!

Christmas Dinner was the most delicious meal I've eaten in a long, long time. It was everything I could have asked for, and more. We had Brenda and Janet there at my parent's house, and Aubrey, Jason and Boston, came, too! It's fun for me, because it's not a Holiday anymore without the Robisons there with us. We had ham, scalloped potatoes, carmelized brussels sprouts, delicious rolls, pistachio salad, and a green salad. It was amazing! For dessert, we had a Pistachio Chocolate Torte to celebrate Mom's birthday. Hazen was able to help Grandma blow out the candles, which he really liked. He's been singing "Happy To you!" ever since we were able to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa's birthdays! It's weird now that the Holiday season is over, but we sure enjoyed ourself this year. Can't wait for next year, when we're done with school!!!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning did not disappoint. There is nothing better than having to wake up your baby at 930am! We were able to sleep in for quite some time, and then, after waiting for Hazen to wake up, we went and got him! He is so stinking cute, I can hardly handle it. He doesn't completely understand the whole Christmas morning concept yet, but he was definitely excited about finally being able to open the presents we'd been telling him to stay away from for the best few days! Hazen was definitely spoiled, but the presents didn't go completely overboard this year, so it's been nice seeing him REALLY enjoy the 3 or 4 presents he did get. I think that we'll go this route in the future! After presents, we enjoyed Cinnamon Rolls that were absolutely delicious!
