He's going back to Utah Valley!!

Ok, so tomorrow morning, they're back transporting Hazen to Utah Valley. ($6000, anyone?) It's really funny, because they haven't really done anything different here than they were doing there, and he's just snapped out of it. He looks AMAZING, and is really acting like a real baby! It's so exciting! We've started breastfeeding, and at the rate he's going, if breastfeeding is our only means of feeding, we'll be here until next year. So, I've elected to allow bottle feeding every other feeding (breastmilk ONLY, naturally), so that he can master one of the two so that we can go home! I figure that we have plenty of time at home to keep on learning. One of you, judge me, I dare you.

I could be over-optimistic, but I'm thinking that we might see the bright shining face of HAL at home possibly by next Friday. Even if it's a week from Tuesday, that would be GREAT! HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!! So, things are great. We're feeling very blessed. All of the specialists said that he looks great! I'll update with pictures once I'm home, rested, and have faster internet!!

Hurray! I am so excited and happy for you two!!!

Also, has anybody talked to you about doing the supplemental nursing? There is a tube thing connected to a supply of bottled BM, and then he nurses too... that way he can learn to latch on, but he gets to fill his tummy too. It's something to consider if you are having a hard time with it.

I am so excited for him to come home to you two!

You're kidding!! Wow!! When was his original due date? Is he perhaps coming home even earlier than that? I can't remember.

Can't Jason just flash his card and get discount on the ride back to Happy Valley?

Do what is best for the kid. I'll never forget the La Leche League wacko that told us Payton's cleft palate could be fixed by breast feeding.

Yipee! Great news, I am so happy for you! I tried the tube that Sarah mentioned...it really helped her latch on...as for the nursing, well let's just say I've never judged anyone who nurses, pumps, does formula, etc. It's all about what works for you so good luck, you will be a pro before you know it!

Payton couldn't breast feed and she turned out just fine! Our BM bottle-feeding bond was just as strong as her breast-fed siblings bond! So there. We love Baby HAL!

He has a fireman room? This is gonna get good. I hope he has plenty of fireman gear in which to be photographed.
HAL's name has been on the Oak temple roll since last week.

They let Nor in the temple? Do they know about the bikinis? Great news about Hal. Can't wait to see the photos.

Oh, the best news ever! I am so so so happy for you all! Don't worry about Breast Feeding vs formula feud... it all works great and whatever he does the best with will be the best thing you can do for him...

Yay! By the way I love that picture of you and Jason on your front page...you are gorgeous, mama! And don't stress for one single second about breast vs. bottle. It's all about what's best for BOTH of you...physically AND mentally.

So glad to hear the news. YEAH HAL! And if breast feeding doesn't work out cause he can't latch on, you can always borrow Big Cousin Max.

Oh that's the best news!! So does that mean they couldn't find anything wrong with him? Sheesh! Let me know when you get back and if you need anything! We can play Phase 10 again and maybe you'll make it past phase 3.

That's awesome Anne! Who could judge you? Get that baby home any way you can and then you will have all the time in the world to work on it! I'm so glad he's doing so much better!
