Visiting Santa

If anyone can remember, Hazen and Santa don't have that great of a relationship. Normally, the second Hazen comes within 5 feet of Santa, the tears begin, and the kid goes running. Not this year! Hazen got the Walmart Christmas Gift catalog the first week of November, and carried it around everywhere he went. He knew that he needed to ask Santa for the things that he was asking for. He also knew that Santa wasn't going to come to his house until Uncle Rob came to visit.

When we got to Santa's village, Hazen could hardly contain himself long enough to wait in the line to go see him. Once it was his turn, Hazen, instead of running away from Santa, sprinted right up to him, and gave him a huge hug. This Santa was so phenomenal. He immediately cued on to hearing us call Hazen by his name, and instantly started addressing him as such. Hazen ran up to him and said, "Hi Santa. I'm Hazen, and I'm three!" It was adorable. Hazen told Santa that he's been a very good boy this year (true), and that he cleans his room every day (lie). He asked for his robot garbage truck and kitchen, Santa gave him a candy, and we went on our merry way. We stopped by Rocky Mountain Chocolate Company afterwards, and were grateful to have had such a wonderful day.
